A fantastic opportunity for a group tax manager to join the tax team of a hugely successful privately held Irish group. The group are growing beyond it’s core business divisions and as such will provide sustainable growth into the future. You will join a well established, friendly tax team and be involved in a wide variety of good tax work. A great opportunity for a tax manager looking for a broader tax role and close to commercial activities.
About the position
- Manage the tax compliance process and liaising with external advisors in this regard
- Responding to and managing tax audits
- Ensuring timely preparation of transfer pricing documentation, including collaborating with colleagues and external advisors
- Assisting with the completion of acquisitions and disposals
- Review and advise on business transactions from a tax perspective
- Liaising with external advisors to obtain and implement advice
- Evaluate and advise management on the tax consequences of domestic and international legislative changes
- Assist with the timely completion of R&D credit claims and related reports
- Provide technical support on withholding tax, VAT and payroll matters
About the person
- Chartered Tax Advisor
- Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
- Well organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills and ability to research complex issues
- Self-motivated – able to work both individually and as a member of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to simplify and communicate technical tax issues
- Ability to build effective working relationships with all levels of the business
