A unique opportunity has opened within a boutique accounting firm based in Cork city centre. The firm offers a range of services including Tax, Accounts Prep, Business Advisory to a variety of clients.
As part of the firm’s growth plans, they are hiring an accountant with practice experience to join the team. The accountant will advise clients on all aspects of their business including compliance and consulting.
This role will offer a real opportunity to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues in a supportive environment.
What’s involved in the role?
- Responsible for a portfolio of clients, maintaining strong relationships and providing high level of service
- Preparation/review of year end accounts and monthly management accounts
- Preparation of annual and statutory accounts in accordance with the Companies’ Act
- Ensuring all compliance obligations met in a timely matter, e.g., tax, VAT, payroll etc.
- Assisting with ad-hoc queries from clients as required
- Assisting with the wider firm as required
About the person:
- A qualified accountant, ACA or ACCA with a min. 3-4 years of practice experience
- A candidate who is a strong communicator, a self-starter and someone who enjoys being client-facing would be best suited to this role
