Barden is delighted to partner with the CTO of a leading Retail Organisation in their search for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their Dublin HQ and form a part of a high-energy team tasked with delivering a significant technology investment across Ireland and the UK.
While initially a 6-month contract, this is just the first of multiple technology investments in the pipeline so it is reasonable to expect either multiple extensions or a permanent role in time.

THE ROLE:
- Create, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure, emphasizing Microsoft Operating Systems, including Windows servers, Office 365, and MS Azure, to support enterprise-level services.
- Configure and diagnose servers, network components, and storage systems to ensure they operate at peak performance and remain accessible on various platforms.
- Assess and choose the right hardware, software, and tools to improve system efficiency and performance across multiple platforms.
- Assume hands-on responsibilities as a member of the Ops team for on-premises hardware, storage, and virtualization technologies like VMWare, Hyper-V, and Nutanix.
- Collaborate on and contribute to the development of an end-user computing strategy and roadmap.

Possess substantial expertise in providing computer hardware and software support, particularly in a high-level capacity within an enterprise setting.

Can showcase a track record of effectively managing MS Azure in terms of design, performance optimization, and cost management within a corporate context.

Expert level of Microsoft Technologies, with a particular focus on MS Azure.

Have prior experience in the careful selection and successful implementation of virtualization technologies.
