The results from the 2023 Chartered Accountants Ireland Leinster Society Salary Survey, in partnership with Barden, crush these perceptions showing continued strong demand in the sector, with growing earning potential and considerable career opportunities in many different areas.
In fact, 81% of respondents work across industry, financial services, public practice, government and the voluntary service. So not all accountants work in practice!
The sector itself is a major employer and is the biggest employer of new graduates each year.
97% of those who completed the survey are employed.
The current split of Chartered Accountants Ireland Leinster Society members is 60% male, 39% female and 1% would prefer not to say.
