Brian O’Connor ACA | Team Lead | Talent Advisor & Recruiter in Recently Qualified Accounting Careers | Barden Leinster
Brian O’Connor ACA is the Team Lead of the Recently Qualified Accountants team with Barden’s talent advisory and recruitment firm in Leinster.
Upon completion of his BComm and MAcc at UCD, Brian undertook his training contract with Deloitte’s FS Audit team where he worked on fund and reinsurance audits and achieved his ACA qualification. Post-contract, Brian moved to Melbourne where he diversified his experience through various industry roles including financial reporting, project accounting and fixed assets.
After returning from Australia in January 2020, Brian decided to leverage his ACA qualification in an advisory capacity by joining Barden. Brian assumes a leadership role, guiding the Recently Qualified Accountants team with a blend of expertise, insight, and a commitment to delivering excellence. This ambition extends not only to supporting clients and Recently Qualified Accountants but also to fostering a culture of growth and collaboration within the Barden team.

Marissa Maher | Team Lead | Talent Advisor & Recruiter in Accounting & Supply Chain Careers | Barden Munster
Marissa Maher is a Team Lead in the Accounting & Tax and Supply Chain practices with Barden’s talent advisory and recruitment firm in Munster.
After completing a BComm at UCC and an MBS Strategic Management and Planning at UCD, Marissa spent the next eight years developing her career in financial services, working with banking and asset management firms while acquiring her QFA qualification. Despite her success in the FS industry, Marissa held a passion for a more people-centric career path. This drive led her to attain her CIPD Certificate in Human Resource Management, and during a working holiday in Australia, she gained her first experience of working in recruitment.
Marissa joined Barden in December 2017, allowing her to leverage her professional experiences in a role where she could make a difference in people’s lives. After working on accounting and tax appointments and careers for several year, Marissa switched focus in 2023 and took on a key role within the business to develop Barden’s Supply Chain practice.

Siobhán Sexton ACA | Business Lead | Talent Advisor & Recruiter in Recently Qualified Accounting, Tax and Practice Careers | Barden Munster
Siobhán Sexton ACA is the Business Lead of the Recently Qualified Accountants team with Barden’s talent advisory and recruitment firm in Munster.
Siobhán began her career by training with KPMG’s tax department, achieving her ACA qualification in 2017. Following her time at KPMG, she transitioned into recruitment, joining Barden in Dublin in March 2017.
In 2019, her career took an adventurous turn when she embarked on an 18-month sabbatical to explore South America and live in Canada, where she gained invaluable international recruitment experience. Upon her return to Ireland in April 2020, Siobhán rejoined the Barden team, this time in Munster, where she has since progressed to the position of Business Lead.
