Credit Control Administrator

Barden are delighted to be working with our client, a prominent player in the wholesale sector, renowned for its commitment to exceptional service, innovations and quality products. 

Due to expansion they are currently on the lookout for a proactive Credit Control Administrator to join their growing team. This role entails working closely with Credit Control Specialists on credit control processes, ensuring the prompt collection of outstanding debts, and providing invaluable support to the finance department. This role allows you to work mostly remotely with one day a month or one day a week on site depending on what suits best. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Monitor customer accounts diligently to ensure the timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Utilize various communication channels such as phone, email, and written correspondence to follow up on overdue payments and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Investigate and rectify any discrepancies in billing and payment transactions.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all customer interactions regarding payments and debt collection efforts.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including sales and customer service teams, to address customer inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on accounts receivable status and aging for management review.
  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of credit control policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancement and efficiency gains within the credit control function.
  • Provide essential administrative support to the finance department as required.

ABOUT THE PERSON: 

  • Demonstrable experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar capacity.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  1. Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
