Finance Manager (Software as a Service)

Barden are delighted to be working with a growing SaaS (Software as a Service) business to identify a Finance Manager. The business is a huge success story for Cork in recent years with significant growth in its industry and is well positioned to capture further market growth globally.

This exciting opportunity is ideal for a strong accountant with circa 4 – 7 years PQE looking to make a step up in their career. This person will help grow the finance team and will work very closely with both the Financial Controller and CFO. The role offers a broad range of duties with a strong focus on consolidations as the business expands into new jurisdictions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Responsible for consolidating period end Financial Statements across multiple entities and currencies.
  • Month end reporting including general ledger ownership.
  • Manage the R&D capitalization process.
  • Provide technical expertise for accounting topics (eg. Equity Accounting, Transfer Pricing, R&D Capitalisation, Revenue Recognition).
  • Evolve and maintain a robust system of controls, policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with external auditors and support the Annual Financial Audit.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filings of all taxation matters.
  • Be a key team member on the system implementation project and general continuous improvement projects/initiatives
  • Support the development and implementation of best-in-class financial practice.
  • Support projects as needed both within Finance and the broader business.
  • People Management, inspiring and motivating team members.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
  • 5-8 years plus post qualification experience in a business environment.
  • Experience working with high growth organisations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels.
  • Positive attitude with a high level of personal integrity.
