Barden are delighted to be partnering with a leading Insurance provider to help them identify a Part Qualified Accountant to join their Financial Reporting team on an initial 12-month contract.
Reporting directly to the Finance Reporting Manager the successful candidate will play a pivotal role within the Financial Reporting team, acting as a key partner in delivering comprehensive financial reporting for the company. A key aspect of this role is providing accurate and timely information and insightful business analysis to enable well-informed commercial decision-making.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Create monthly Management Accounts, emphasizing business performance, variance analysis for both internal external stakeholders.
- Prepare a comprehensive set of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Financial Reporting Accountant and Finance Analyst to ensure timely reporting.
- Actively participate in and drive relevant business projects within the scope of responsibility.
- Regularly review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Internal Controls within the designated area.
- Supervise the work of finance analyst
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as necessary.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/IATI part-qualified desirable
- At least 2 years relevant experience
- Possesses excellent organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail.
- Demonstrates a collaborative mindset and a readiness to delve into specifics.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal abilities, adept at engaging with individuals at various organizational levels, both internally and externally.
- Capable of working autonomously and taking initiative.
