Barden is proud to be partnering with a global organisation to identify a Project Scheduler to join them on a fixed term contract basis. In this role, you will be accountable for developing and optimising project schedules in Microsoft Project. This role is to provide teams with standardised governance, tooling and the right resources to allow them to focus on detailed schedule management including resource loading. It is to support business strategic alignment and exceptional reporting to ensure successful project execution.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using project planning software, ensuring all activities, milestones, and deliverables are accurately tracked from initiation through completion.
- Support the creation of comprehensive project timelines in collaboration with project leads and managers, covering all phases of delivery.
- Assist project leadership teams with planning, monitoring, and tracking project progress against agreed schedules.
- Coordinate and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, across project tasks based on leadership priorities and recommendations.
- Engage with key stakeholders to ensure clear and consistent communication across all project workstreams.
- Provide ongoing support for schedule updates and change requests throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Produce schedule performance reports, including planning adherence metrics, actual versus planned progress reporting (including S-curve analysis), and headcount/resource reports.
- Support the setup and maintenance of annual programme plans and strategic project roadmaps.
- Maintain risk registers and assist with impact assessments and schedule risk analysis.
- Coordinate governance meetings, status reporting forums, and regular project update reviews with project leadership teams.
- Provide additional project support duties as required, including mentoring junior team members or interns.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Experience of minimum 4 years plus in scheduling a portfolio of technical projects.
- Strong in Project Management tools: Microsoft Project, Planview, and/or other planning software packages.
- All of the projects are operational-focused rather than capital-focused, and therefore, significant experience in this side is required/preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse resourcing capacity vs. demand.
- Experience collaborating effectively with other functional groups to achieve business objectives.
- Demonstrated initiative; results-oriented, initiative to institute change.
- Exceptional communication skills required, with an ability to interact with and influence individuals and teams at all levels across the organization and global network.
