An exciting opportunity has been created for a manager or senior manager to join a newly created tax team of a leading consultancy firm. As manager/senior manager you will support the director and wider team on managing corporate tax compliance projects.
A lovely team is already in place and the appointment of a manager or senior manager is the next critical hire to ensure continued success.
An ideal position for a tax professional looking for a more predictable work load with normalised work hours. It would also suit someone looking to build on their relationship management skills with clients and internal teams.
This particular team will be centred out of Kilkenny and ideally the person will be able to commute to the office a couple of times a week as the firm will adopt a hybrid work model post the pandemic.
About the position
- Manage a team of tax compliance professionals day to day to deliver high quality tax compliance services efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with client engagement leads across the tax practice to deliver tax compliance services.
- Motivate your team to perform at their best, make a difference and deliver results, while providing mentorship and guidance allowing them to stretch to their full potential.
- Identify opportunities to drive improvements in upstream and downstream processes.
- Streamline manual processes through leveraging latest tools/digital automation.
- Operate effectively with your internal team members to create a collaborative working environment.
- Bring business knowledge, innovation and insight to create value for clients and the firm.
About the person
- Qualified tax professional with at least 2 years experience at management level
- Strong people management and leadership qualities, experience in developing team members with a passion to coach and mentors other to achieve their potential
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Proactive and solutions driven mindset
- Enthusiastic individual with keen interest in improving processes and utilising technology to achieve greater efficiencies
