Here in Barden we are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a very well-known Cork business to identify an Assistant Financial Accountant to join the team. The business has enjoyed huge success in its industry over a number of years and has developed a prestigious reputation.

Due to growth, there is a requirement for an ambitious Finance professional to join the group. Working closely with the Group CFO and other Senior finance professionals this role will offer a broad range of duties with an interesting mix. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, energetic, possess strong analytical skills and an ability to build meaningful relationships across the business.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Generate and send out invoices.
Follow up on, collect and allocate payments.
Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
Processing daily bank transactions.
Credit control.
Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records.
Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc.
Investigate and resolve customer queries
Assist with month-end closing.
General ad hoc duties

ABOUT THE PERSON:

At least 1-2 years’ experience working in a similar position.
ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/IATI part-qualified or desire to pursue exams an advantage
Good working knowledge of excel
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
A positive, can-do attitude
Ambitious and eager to take next step in career
