Business Support & Recruitment Research Specialist

Type Permanent

Salary Negotiable

Location Cork (All)

Ref # 5621

ABOUT US: Hi. We’re Barden. We’re a Partner Led, expert recruitment firm. We’re entrepreneur-inspired and Irish-owned, with offices in Dublin and Cork….and we’re just getting started!

WHAT DO WE ACTUALLY DO? We help companies in Ireland build amazing Finance, Legal and IT teams. We’re not just about jobs though. We’re about helping people realize their potential. Simple.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In Barden our people make the real difference, but for us, this person is extra special. As a key point of contact for consultants and partners nationally this role supports two key business activities – recruitment process support (70%) and office support/management (30%).

1) Recruitment process support includes:

  • Review and format of CVs and Job specifications to ensure that they meet the Barden quality test.
  • Research and related activities to help our people identify and engage top talent
  • Conducting reference checks as requested by clients.
  • Supporting temporary employees on timesheets, contracts, and general queries.
  • Handling ad hoc recruitment-related support requests as they arise (could literally be anything!).

2) Office support/management includes:

  • Looking after the environment – handling a variety of day-to-day office support activities (supplies, equipment, handling incoming calls etc…), to one-off project work relating to office set up, layout, and the host of small things that make such a big difference.
  • Organising team and client events and playing a key role in delivering a first-class experience for our people.
  • Co-ordinating all on-boarding activities and making sure new people in Barden get the VIP experience.
  • Lots more – from proofreading articles to managing online portals to booking travel – you’ll never have a dull day!

The right person will build up their experience and role overtime and, as our practice grows, so too will their role in the firm.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Circa 3+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced office environment (this is not a boring company)
  • Strong working knowledge & proficiency of all Microsoft packages (Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Ability to work on own initiative and take discretionary action as required.
  • Motivated team player with the ability to adapt and learn quickly.
  • Someone who takes their job seriously but not themselves – key to making it with Barden.
