Barden has been exclusively engaged by a thriving multinational company in the technology sector looking to hire a lawyer to join the organisation in Cork. The role will report into the Head of Legal and have strong growth potential as the business continues to expand.
The company operates a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office in Cork and 2 days working from home.
THE ROLE
- Liaising with a variety of functions and stakeholders in the business to provide commercially oriented legal advice on diverse legal topics and challenges;
- Supporting and advising on privacy law, Data Protection Agreements and Data Protection Impact Assessments;
- Providing legal advice on matters such as sales, e-commerce, T&Cs, policies, marketing and advertising, consumer protection, social media, IP, product development, etc.

THE PERSON
- Qualified lawyer, ideally with circa 2 years’ PQE (however the company will consider applications from candidates at different levels of experience, including newly qualified lawyers);
- Commercial experience gained in-house or in a commercial law firm is highly desirable;
- Privacy, e-commerce or consumer law experience will be an advantage;
- It is essential for candidates to enjoy and thrive in a busy and fast paced international environment, with strong relationship building skills.
