Barden has been retained to support a leading FMCG company in their search for a talented Design Engineer. We seek expressions of interest from Engineers to innovate and design best in class enhancements in the manufacturing facility to drive operational improvements for our client.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop innovative engineering solutions that meet the evolving needs of the manufacturing facility.
  • Efficiency Optimization: Analyse existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement. Work collaboratively with colleagues to implement design enhancements that drive operational efficiency and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Product Development: Working closely with the innovation team lead the design and development of new consumer products from concept to launch, foster collaboration among team members to leverage diverse perspectives and expertise.
  • Manage design projects from inception to completion, coordinating resources effectively and ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines. The ability to collaborate and bring people on a journey will set you apart from other applicants.
  • Engage proactively with colleagues across various departments, including manufacturing, supply chain, and quality assurance, to integrate design solutions seamlessly into the product development process.

ABOUT THE PERSON

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in design engineering roles within the FMCG industry, with a demonstrated track record of fostering collaboration and strong people retention.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to coordinate resources effectively and manage project timelines and budgets.
