Global Technical Packaging Manager (FMCG)

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global FMCG company which is headquartered in Cork. You will join a collaborative team that fosters a culture of innovation and excellence.

This is a permanent position with strong flexibility in work arrangements available.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Global technical lead for packaging, delivering quality, cost and system efficiencies for packaging development.
• Embed company principles in packaging development to deliver technical solutions. that are sustainable from the start and optimized for operations and supply chain.
• Drive technical competency, capability, and best practices to enhance quality, food safety, sustainability, productivity and compliance to regulations.
• Collaborate with local and global teams for scanning of regulatory landscape and develop compliance plan.
• Lead development and commercialization of packaging innovation through internal and external stakeholders engagement.
• Manage packaging supplier audits and maintain approval status in collaboration with Supplier Quality Assurance team.
• Provide regular technical support to plant sites in the delivery of both technical and quality solutions for packaging projects and field issue resolutions.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

• Proven experience in the area of material processing for packaging.
• 5+ years’ experience in the processing of plastics a distinct advantage.
• An awareness of UN Packaging regulations advantageous.
• Technically sound across several packaging substrates.  
• Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage diverse project programmes across a multicultural work environment.
• Ability to communicate and manage stakeholders, along with the ability to influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to transform insights into strategies.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proven leadership skills and demonstrated strategic thinking and a global perspective.
