ROLE: IT Director
LOCATION: Dublin / Hybrid
Barden IT are both excited and very proud to have been approached by a highly successful business person, who has made a strategic decision to relocate the IT division of his Global business to Dublin.
Indeed, the Dublin will experience significant growth in the next 18 months.
To facilitate this migration and relocation, our client is seeking a highly experienced Technology leader to help drive this change, wind-down operations elsewhere and oversee the implementation of a successful migration of Data from On-site servers to Microsoft Azure.
The ultimate goal is that the core IT function for the business will sit in their new Dublin office which will then have responsibility for the overall organisation infrastructure maintenance and support.
The successful candidate will be comfortable leading a high-peforming IT unit which will provide general infrastructure support to users in up to Six Global office locations.
You will also have oversight on the Application Development team.
The successful person will be both an Influencer and an Educator who finds it easy to scale Tech teams and assess the most up-to-date Technologies as an enabler to a business.
This role offers a Six-figure salary (and attractive Benefits / Bonus package) and very flexible working arrangements with some weekly visits to their new Dublin office.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Oversee and take the lead in recruiting the Dublin IT team.
- Be an advisor to Senior leaders within the business on assessing outsourced service providers (be it for infrastructure or application development), also making important decisions on outsourcing versus insourcing for the longer term.
- Take a leading role in the development and maintenance of new in-house applications if applicable.
- Establish a new disaster recovery server site in Ireland or UK.
- Implement the roll out and use of Virtual Desktop across the wider org.
- Ensure the seamless takeover of responsibility for the organisations infrastructure maintenance and support.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- The ideal candidate will have proven background in leading teams who work on a daily basis with staff and users from across many cultures and time zones.
- This Technology leader will have clear demonstrable experience of working in a multicultural organization.
- As the majority of staff and users will interact with the Dublin IT team remotely, remote communication skills are crucial.
- Be able to call upon significant experience when it comes to Cloud transformation programmes of work.
