Tax Manager

An opportunity has arisen for a tax manager to join a global manufacturing business, headquartered in Dublin city for a 12 month contract.  

Working within a great tax team, you will gain exposure to the tax matters of this international group who consistently delivers above average results in the market.  

About the position

• Management of the corporation tax compliance process (for relevant European jurisdictions) to ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns and payments
• Preparation of the monthly and quarterly US GAAP tax reporting for the Irish tax resident Group entities
• Review monthly and quarterly European tax postings prepared by local accounting teams
• Preparation of the relevant European quarterly tax reports
• File all Irish VAT, DWT and other tax returns and ensure any payments are made, accurately and on time
• Assist with the completion of relevant European local files for transfer pricing purposes
• Assist with the completion of the Country-by-Country Report
• Assist in the provision of Irish tax technical support on domestic and international projects, i.e. transaction related projects, corporate law change projects, restructuring projects etc.
• Assist the Tax Director and Global Tax Director in liaising with Revenue Authorities and external tax advisors

About the person 

• CTA qualified with post qualification experience within a major accounting firm or alternatively have experience working for a listed international corporate group
• ACA/ACCA equivalent a plus
• Knowledge of FRS 101 and, preferably, US GAAP
• Very strong knowledge of Irish corporation tax legislation, with good exposure to Irish VAT, CGT, DWT and Stamp Duty a definite plus
• Exposure to European corporation tax a plus
• Highly professional, self-motivated, accurate, independent and flexible
• Possess initiative, and the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong analytical skills and attention to detail
