Here at Barden we are delighted to be partnering with a hugely successful Irish owned business who are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant or Financial Analyst (FMCG) to join their rapidly growing finance team.
A unique opportunity for a part qualified Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating accurate KPI reports which facilitates management decision making. Working as part of a team, to compile the Weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Monthly Management Accounts, and the Annual Financial Budget. In this role you will be responsible for the identification of issues/opportunities in relevant areas and ensure they are addressed appropriately.
About the Role:
Analysis and reporting of KPI’s
Report and review weekly forecasts and P&L- highlight and comment on deviations from the budget
Work with finance business partner to report and explain variances on tracking benefits
Preparation of monthly accounts – report and explain any variances
Work as part of a team to report production data on a weekly and monthly basis
Ensure requisitions are uploaded on a timely basis
Tracking and analysing spending against the budget- highlight any overspending and identify where savings can be made
Work with other team members to prepare the annual financial budget and conduct periodic spot checks
Participate in Continuous Improvement Activities
Assisting in ad-hoc reports and project work as required
About the Person:
At least 2-3 years of relevant experience
ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/IATI part-qualified or desire to pursue exams an advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated and adaptable to different situations
Works well as part of a team
Strong analytical and conceptual skills- able to generate insights from large amounts of data
Practical approach to problem solving
Proficient with Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
